Dr. Karin Schambach is part of the six-member founding team of Indigo Headhunters. Previously, she was the managing director at Smith & Jessen, Frankfurt. At Indigo Headhunters, Karin heads the asset and wealth management section and represents the company to the public.

Since starting in the personnel consulting industry in 2000, Karin has assisted and successfully concluded numerous transactions with national and international clients in the financial services area. In the past ten years, her focus has been on asset management and private banking where she has made use of her extended network comprised of managing directors, portfolio managers, sales staff and specialists in service functions in the European market.

In addition, Karin was in charge of establishing the legal and real estate sections at Smith & Jessen and has gained comprehensive experience with her professional contacts in corporate banking and alternative investments.

Karin Schambach is a historian with a focus on 19th-century history. Before entering the headhunting industry, she worked for Goethe University and Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. At Schirn Kunsthalle, she was in charge of the conceptual design and organization of the exhibition on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Revolution of 1848. As well as history, Karin studied English and educational science.

She speaks German, English and French.
